5 days and counting

I am getting married in 5 days! I can hardly believe it is finally time....so much talking and planning, but for it to finally be here is crazy. These last few days have been strange. I go from being totally unaware of the fact that i am getting married to be really excited and then to being really anxious and nervous. I am not nervous about the getting married part, but about how all the details are going to come together or that my hair is going to look stupid...things like this i worry about. But, i am really ready for the getting married part. I am excited to get to start my life with ryan. When i get paniced about all the details or about everyone staring at me as i walk down the isle...i just picture him standing at the end and i feel a sense of calm. He makes me feel calm about it all, which i take as a good sign. Mrs. Beth Guhlstorf...wow that will take some getting used to! Well, i just felt like writing some about all the stuff that is going on. I cannot wait for rachel to get here and be with me through all this stress...she is yet another calming factor in my life (which makes sense, since she is my other, other half!). It is going to so fun...i can't wait to see you all!

If you get a chance...pray for me to be calm during my wedding day. I really want to be a calm and collected bride...not a nervous, crying one. That would suck.

Sunday sunday....

Sunday sort of has this sadness about it for me. Even though it is usually a nice relaxing day, still in the back of your mind you know that you have to go back to work and start a new week the next day. boo. However, the bright side to this sunday is that this is my LAST week of being an intern/working for free! I have to work monday, tuesday and thrusday and then DONE!

Then, on Friday I am going for a close-out meeting at school and then hopping on a train to go visit my dearest rachel for the weekend. I am so excited, i can't even tell you! We are going to go see Fall Out Boy, which is also totally exciting! I realize this might seem like a funny thing for us to go do--see a fall out boy show amongst all of the young "i just starting liking fall out boy when i saw them on trl" kids, but ya know all i can say is elbows up! I think it will be so much fun, teenie boppers or not. When you do things with fun people you tend to have a good time, and i personally feel rachel and i are a great time! So, very exciting!

What else? I am getting married in like 42 days or something like that...i can't believe it, but i like it! Ok, that is all i have for now.

So, my last entry was in December. Even though i am really bad at updating and i probably won't update again for a long time...i felt it was time. I still read some of these to see what is going on in others' lives, so i felt it was only fair to update mine.

So, things are great. I am quite busy and feeling more and more like a grown-up, which is strange, but good. I am so very happy that the summer is here, i really do love the changing of the seasons! I am sure once it has been scorching hot for a couple months i will hate summer, but today i am excited. Ryan and i went out on the boat yesterday for the first time this summer, it was nice. Getting a tan from a boat in the water is much better than the tanning bed i have been experiencing.

I am so excited for the events of the summer to unfold! We just had dawn's wedding, which was SO much fun. And, next weekend is my shower and i am so excited to see everyone and even to play some shower games! And, of course eat delicious food! I am also going to visit rachel 2 times in the next couple of months, which makes me so happy...once for fun and once for the bachelorette party. I can hardly believe it is almost time for me to have a bachelorette party! I am getting married in 2 months! Crazy! I can't wait!

On top of getting married, ryan and i are building a house, well my dad and ryan are building it really....i am pretty much just there to supervize, lets be serious. With any luck we will be starting to dig a hole in the ground in a couple of weeks...it is going to be a long, hard process...but it will be all worth it, i am sure.

Last big thing in my life is my job. I graduated this past friday and i only have 4 more weeks left of working for free!! Then, I am starting summer school...that will last for 3 weeks and then i have some time to do last minute wedding things and go on my honeymoon. And, then i will start work in the schools! I am so excited to be doing what i have worked for so long for and bonus, i will get a pay check for it!

Well, that sums of my update on life! Man, i really am a busy girl. but i love it. Things are great and i wouldn't trade any of it! Until next time....

Today is a day of lasts...

My last day of college, last test EVER, last day in my apartment, last day in Bloomington, last day babysitting for cutie Mason, and sadly my last day living with Rachel.

Now that it is my last day here, it makes me think of my first. It seems worlds ago when rachel and i moved into our very first dorm here at ISU. I was scared to leave home, excited for something new, and only sort of knew rachel. Its funny how things change...now we are attached at the hip and i can't image not living side by side. And unlike my first day of college i now have a ring on my finger...i will be getting married soon and rachel will be starting a "real" job in the city. Wierd. I guess we grew up.

I am excited for a new chapter of my life to begin...I am sure that it will be just as great as all the others. It is bittersweet however. I am excited to go home, start a job, and be closer to ryan and my family, but i am also a little sad to move away from this life that i have known for the past 6 years. But, I will take with me all of the wonderful memories.

Overall I would say this whole college life was good, no, great.
